The Thrifty Shopper Finds Discount Textbooks
Saving money by finding discount textbooks. The Thrifty Shopper is either involved with their education expenses or working closely with a parent or family member who is footing the bill. They understand some time invested in research can pay off with a much lower bill for learning materials. They’ll begin their research before the semester starts, checking the local stores and using a book search tool on the Internet to find used books in good condition. They’ll check with their peer group and may even find a friend to share the cost of a book. If they don’t find all their materials used, they may elect to wait on purchase to see if it really is necessary, or see if the professor offers an alternative.
After the term is over, the Thrifty Shopper will compare the local book stores for the best price, and may decide to attempt to sell it themselves over the Internet if they aren’t able to get at least half, or a substantial amount back. The Thrifty Shopper should have no problem keeping their net cost below $500.00, and will experience some very inexpensive terms.
