Capitalizing on Inefficient " Sell Textbook " Listings
Occasionally a “ sell textbook ” listing at the big online marketplaces will end up being duplicated due to publishers creating a “bundled stack” edition. Start by searching for the book by author and title as well as ISBN. Check the “other editions” list at the bottom of the search results page on Half.com. If you find a duplicate listing with a higher average sale price, list your book on this page. Some consumers will arrive at this page first and make their purchase with no further search effort, affording you a higher sale price for your book.
If you have an edition of a book you know has been out for only one term, there’ll be a limited supply of used books for sale the following term. The high volume sellers may sell out of used books entirely, or their online “ sell textbook ” listing may briefly run out before they update it. Consider listing your used book above the high volume sellers' listings, but below the prices for new copies of the book and hope you end up with a window of time as the lowest “high” priced used book available. This situation can occur frequently during late August and January.
Leave the " Sell Textbook " listing page and return to Selling Online
Please excuse some of the awkward phrasing; I'm attempting to incorporate some challenging high demand keyword phrases into the articles. ;-)
