Marketplace Feedback Ratings for " Sell Used Textbook " Listings
When you’re an individual seller attempting to “ sell used textbook ” your feedback rating is vitally important. Once your feedback count is over 100 and you have a 95% or better rating you will represent a low risk transaction to sellers. If you haven’t reached this level then you need to aggressively manage your listings and over deliver on the customer service side of things.
- Make sure you correctly grade and describe your book; you can’t afford a negative feedback when you're trying to build a track record.
- Continually monitor your listings to make sure you’re priced below your competitors. Consider offering a free shipping upgrade to increase the attractiveness of your listing.
- When you do sell a book make sure you ship it immediately.
- Send a follow up e-mail expressing your gratitude and encourage your customer to leave you a positive feedback; offer to do the same for them.
You’re likely to get plenty of pre-sale questions from prospective buyers when you have a low feedback number as buyers try to gage the risk of the purchase. Promptly and tactfully answer these questions as they could convert your “ sell used textbook ” listing into a sale. Your goal is to keep a sparkling rating and put prospective buyers at ease until you top the 100 mark of a veteran seller.
